Biofuels
The Post-graduate Program in Biofuels at UFU/UFVJM, according to the CAPES classification, is included in the Biotechnology Assessment Area. The Biotechnology area was created by CAPES in 2008 with the purpose of stimulating the transfer of knowledge generated in the health, agricultural, industrial, environmental and marine areas, for the generation of innovative products and processes, which are transferred to the society and the productive sector. It is a multidisciplinary area, with courses in academic and professional modalities, which creates opportunities for students to work in an academic, scientific or technological career and as an entrepreneur.
Regarding the Area of Concentration, the Postgraduate Program in Biofuels at UFU/UFVJM is framed in the Biofuels area. According to Resolution No. 2/2020 of the UFU Research and Postgraduate Council, Chapter 2, Single Paragraph, the Academic Master's and Doctoral Degree Courses in Science and Technology of Biofuels are primarily intended to provide their students with scientific training and free, broad and in-depth cultural, through an inter and multidisciplinary approach through the development of research and innovation capacity in different areas of knowledge applied to the biofuels sector.
